Melvyn and Eve moved to Wales in 2004 to set up a small guest house and restaurant in this wonderful location, to enable guests to share in the wonders of Rhyd-y-Groes. We have recently obtained a Full License which, along with all the other amenities on offer – guests can enjoy a relaxing and green break in Mid Wales.
Rhyd-y-Groes boasts a fresh supply of spring water from our well, organic produce is used wherever possible, fresh duck eggs from our free range ducks, home baked bread and freshly prepared meals.
We use environmentally freindly cleaning products and have our own mini sewerage plant. Guests are asked not to use harsh products or any products which would affect the environment or aquatic life, as the processed water is returned to the stream.
4 Star accommodation, Log Cabin overlooking stream, 18th Century Character Restaurant, Hot Tub/Spa, Aromatherapy, Swimming Pool, trampoline, woodland walk, Fully Licensed Restaurant, Restaurant gardens, Red Kites and Buzzards (and a host of other birds) flying overhead and visiting the gardens and surounding fields, Stables for up to 3 horses, local bridal paths, quiet country lanes, animals for the children to meet, central to mountains, beaches with dolphins and seals and University Towns of Lampeter and Aberystwyth……..No light polution – admire the night sky, simply amazing!
